Defining Income in Divorce CasesIn a small number of cases though, obtaining a fair resolution of property and support matters can be complex. Due to the difficulties in defining precisely what is income and what constitutes the joint assets and debts of the couple, clear-cut benchmarks to determining fair alimony and distribution of property may be needed.
